When the history of the 2008 presidential race is written, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden might have the shortest chapter - and it will read:
On the same day he announced he was running for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden effectively sunk his own campaign with an ill-considered racially insensitive remark about fellow Democratic Senator and rival for the nomination Barack Obama. He didn't drop out immediate, but the campaign never recovered from Biden's self-inflicted wound.
That's the bad news today for Biden. The good news for Biden: This time nobody is accusing him of plagiarizing the remark.
