Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has the proper paperwork with the Federal Election Commission announcing the formation of his presidential campaign exploratory committee, and launched a new campaign website at www.mittromney.com which includes such modern new-media bells and whistles as video streamed through "Mitt TV." Romney's new-media director, Stephen B. Smith, promises the site will be updated daily "with all the latest news from the campaign, the mainstream media, and the blogosphere."
Incorporating the blogosphere into the campaign is a great step, especially if the Romney camp will allow a free-flowing discussion including critical bloggers and critical blog posts.- updates from the blogosphere.
There's more to come on the Romney website, Smith says. "In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be continually rolling out new and innovative ways to connect with the Governor through online activism and social networking, so please bookmark us and subscribe to our RSS feeds."
