The Draft Newt folks are excited about this story from the Orange County Register:
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's book tour ostensibly was the reason for his Thursday visit to the Nixon Library, but most of his tour stops, it also served to keep him on the radar as a possible presidential candidate. He spent 19 minutes talking about his new historical novel, "Pearl Harbor," and then for the next half hour answered questions on U.S. policy and his possible bid.
He urged more aggressive and decisive action against Iran, North Korea and terrorists, blasted the current immigration bill before Congress and urged the overflow crowd to take a bigger role in influencing Washington lawmakers.
Gingrich reiterated earlier statements that he may decide to run in the fall if a clear leader has not emerged among Republican hopefuls. "I'd like to see real, decisive leadership (among GOP candidates)," he told the Register before taking the stage. "I'd like to see a willingness to reject the standup, 'American Idol'-style non-debates and insist on genuine dialogue. I'd like to see proposals that are fundamental and certain. I'd like to see them talk about the issues of today, not what they will do in January of 2009."

You have not been following Newt obviously. How can there be a clear front runner when there could likely be 12 candidates (assuming Newt and Fred both get in)? Rudy can't make up his mind on abortion, Mitt is Mitt and McPain is the manchurian candidate. So who will that front runner be? Newt could easily get in in November and walk away with the nomination.
