Per the AP, Senator Sam Brownback will withdraw from the Presidential race tomorrow in his home state of Kansas.
Brownback had been a long shot from the beginning, and was banking his campaign on appealing to a particular niche - Catholics and right-to-lifers. His inability to gain traction among those groups was probably one of the factors in his decision to withdraw. His lack of money ($95k on hand) was probably another.
Look to see who he endorses; it could be his attempt at trying to get the Vice-Presidential nomination. It's hard to see him endorsing Rudy Giuliani just because the right to life is such an important issue to him, and if he did endorse Giuliani he would lose A LOT of credibility among right-to-lifers. He won't endorse Mitt Romney because they've had their share of spats. He is friends with both John McCain and Fred Thompson from their days in the U.S. Senate together, and the Biz bets it's one of them.
