
The latest economic numbers released by the Commerce Department show that the economy grew at 3.9% for the third quarter.
The economy will be an important issue for the Republicans next year in the general election and you can bet that the question "Are you better off now than you were eight years ago?" will be asked. And despite John Edwards' (who has irreparably harmed his reputation and isn't better off) and the Democrats' assertion to the contrary, most people will answer yes to that question.
This news only further strengthens the Republicans' position with regards to pocketbook issues. Since President Bush took office, we've had low unemployment and positive growth.
