
A lot of the pre debate talk was about Fred Thompson, and not surprisingly so is a lot of the post debate talk.
None of the other candidates really went after Thompson, and he was even given the last word by Chris Matthews. He also didn't get into much of a fight with any of the candidates, and any comments directed his way he easily deflected.
His position on stage was a big plus. He had center stage, and was positioned between Romney and Giuliani. At one point, when Romney and Giuliani were arguing across Thompson, it made them look like they were both fighting to be the last one standing on stage with him. Romney was visibly irritated, similar to how he was here.
The Biz thinks Thompson did well, and definitely helped build his Presidential image even if his answers weren't the most polished responses.
