Chuck Grassley, the very influential Iowa Republican Senator, gave his thoughts on the race and made some predictions. He said Mitt Romney would finish first because of his money, followed by Mike Huckabee because of his appeal:

"Romney's got a state-to-state plan to do well in Iowa, he has money, and Huckabee relates very much to Iowans."

"Social conservatives have not been solidly united behind one candidate. That's what's really different. I think that's part of the reason why it's very flexible or liquid in 50 percent of Republicans not having their mind made up yet."
