Mitt Romney has dropped a mail piece in Iowa that takes a subtle dig at Rudy Giuliani on immigration. He does not mention Giuliani specifically by name, but touts that he wants to cut federal funding to sanctuary cities like New York and San Francisco. A not-so-subtle dig at Giuliani.
Per Time, Giuliani shot back:
Iowa voters can't be bought and they certainly won't buy what Mitt Romney is selling, distortion, hypocrisy and a clear willingness to say and do anything for political gain.
[Mitt Romney has] a record that included allowing the number of illegal immigrants to skyrocket while he was in charge, and even hiring some of them to work on his lawn while he was governor.
