Mark your calenders, January 8th is the date of the New Hampshire Primary.
New Hampshire state law requires that its primary be first-in-the nation and held 7 days before any other primary. With Michigan finalizing its primary at Jan. 15, NH Sec. of State Bill Gardner ended speculation (most of it fueled by Gardner himself) that he would set a December primary and set the latest legal date he could. So the Triumvirate calender is now set:
Iowa Caucus: Jan 3rd
New Hampshire Primary: Jan. 8th
South Carolina Primary: Jan. 19th
With New Hampshire this close to Iowa, whoever is bringing the media momentum from the Caucus will likely capture a large chunk of the 56% of undecided New Hampshire voters.

It is interesting that NH has a state law that sets their primary as the first in the nation. What if another state decided to have this same law? One state would have to violate their law. This is foolishness, in my opinion.
