 In an ad that feels like a scene out of the West Wing, Fred Thompson is out with his first television ads to run in Iowa. There is a 30 and 60 second version of it (60 sec below). The ad is titled "Consistent Conservative" and the central message is his common sense conservative values with a musical score that inspires. It is a bio ad detailing where he's from and what he's done intended to introduce him to voters. Hat tip: |

In the ad, Thompson confidently states that "all we need to do is return to our conservative principles" and we'll be ok. He does not mention what conservative principles, or say anything about what he might do if elected. I guess we're supposed to close our eyes and remember the last great posseur...Ronald Reagan. Yeah, no thanks.
