First Read has more on Alan Keyes:
According to Iowa Public Television spokeswoman Jennifer Glover Konfrst, Keyes met the criteria to participate; Kucinich and Gravel did not.
The criteria include: 1) an FEC statement of candidacy; 2) having an Iowa campaign staffer and Iowa campaign office as of October 1; and 3) registering at least at 1% in the October Des Moines Register poll.
Keyes is quite an interesting character; he is intelligent, articulate, and a hell of a debater. A former Ambassador to the UN, he has run for President twice before and for the U.S. Senate three times from two different states.
Here is vintage Keyes when he was running against another now-presidential candidate...
Here is ElephantBiz's Alan Keyes wish list for this afternoon:
1. Debate with Rudy Giuliani on abortion.
2. Religious debate w/ either/or fmr. Southern Baptist Preacher Mike Huckabee or fmr. Mormon Bishop Mitt Romney.
3. Debate with Ron Paul on anything.
