The Club for Growth is set to air an ad in Iowa and South Carolina (on cable) attacking Mike Huckabee for his record on taxes:
This makes Club for Growth the latest independent group to enter the fray with a negative television spot. While it's an ad that raises important questions about Huckabee, it is a pretty weak buy ($175,000) that will only run on cable, and thus is unlikely to have any significant impact.
That's in stark contrast to the abortionist's ad attacking Mitt Romney that has been airing on all the major networks in Iowa and is one of the contributing factors to Romney's decline there.
