A new CBS poll from South Carolina has Huckabee expanding his lead:
Huckabee 28%
Romney 20%
Giuliani 12%
McCain 11%
Thompson 10%
The detailed poll makes it clear that the average voter's mind isn't made up yet. Only a third of both Romney and Huckabee's supporters are firmly in their respective corners. Additionally, when asked if they would support a candidate they disagreed with on the issues if he could win, a majority said they would. Thus if Huckabee can prove he's a winner (via Iowa), then they are likely to overlook his record on things like immigration and fiscal issues and throw their support to him.
The whole poll is worth a read.
