Romney Goes Negative On McCain

Mitt Romney is out with his 3rd negative ad of the campaign cycle, this time targetted at John McCain in New Hampshire:

The ad stays on Romney's style of attack, this time drawing the direct contrast with McCain who is closing the gap in New Hampshire against Romney. Romney, so far, is the only one who has run negative ads in this campaign.

McCain took a campaign stop in New Hampshire to personally respond to the attacks:
"The best way to tell you that I’m doing very well is when you’re attacked by Romney," McCain said, grinning as he spoke to a small group of reporters after a rally in a coffee shop.

"I don’t know how to respond to some of it because his position may change," McCain said.

"I can certainly see why Gov. Romney would want an ad talking about the future because he certainly doesn’t want to talk about the past," McCain quipped.
Unlike Mike Huckabee who has chosen to take the high road against Romney's negative attacks, McCain will likely be up soon with a response/negative ad  of his own against Romney; likely quoting from those unendorsements.

My guess is New Year's day.
