
The winner of today's Florida primary will take the delegate lead. All of Florida's 57 delegates are awarded winner take all. There are no points for second place.
More importantly, however, is that the winner will recieve a boost in both fund raising and in national polls heading into Tsunami Tuesday.
Mitt Romney and John McCain have been duking it out on the phones and the radio; while Romney has vastly outspent McCain on the airwaves dipping into his personal fortune. But there will be no coronation here tonight, expect the loser to fight on.
At the bottom of the polls, Rudy Giuliani readies himself for his swan song, while Mike Huckabee long ago left the state already on his way to the February 5th state of Missouri. All of a sudden his decision to bypass the state is beginning to look like a good idea.
