Former Senate Majorty Leader Howard Baker is throwning his support to John McCain for President. Baker is of the old Republican gaurd having served under President Ronald Reagan as Chief of Staff and as Senate Majority Leader in the 1980's.
He garners much respect in his home state of Tennessee where he is something of an elder statesman most recently serving as National Co-Chair of Fred Thompson's Presidential campaign. The endorsement will help McCain among Tennessee voters; especially in his native East Tennessee. The endorsement will also help soften McCain's image among former Thompson staffers and backers who, like Baker, were early supporters of Thompson.

This makes me Sick. I can see now the GOP just wants to give Mcamnesty his due. Welcome to a loss in 2008. I wont vote for him. I think we need some time in the wilderness.
