There's more cheating in sports. The AP is reporting that Marion Jones, the former 5-time Olympic medalist, is going to jail.
She recieved six months, the maximum sentence possible under the plea. She had previously told federal investigators that she had taken performance enhancing drugs with no knowledge (a la Barry Bonds), but then recently admitted that she knew what she was taking.
The six month jail sentence sends a clear message to athletes everywhere. Baseball is officially on watch.
This is an unfortunate turn of events for the woman that an entire generation of young female atheletes looked up to.

Why is this a good thing? Did you she commit a violent act against somebody?
I would think this would be an internal affair of the sports world, instead we have a federal witch hunt that follows and tortures its victims until they tell them what they want to hear. The nanny state marches on, everybody's business is their business and the taxpayer pays the bill.
