Conventional wisdom says that these leads John McCain enjoys are poll bumps due to his back to back wins in New Hampshire and South Carolina and that the numbers would eventually come back down.
However, none of his opponents are going negative on him and his numbers haven't come down. And the longer the race stays undecided, the more likely that support will harden; especially if he pulls off a win in Florida.
