Republican and Conservative political analysis and commentary

A new poll from Georgia has Mike Huckabee with a commanding lead while a new poll from Alabama has John McCain tied with the Southerner. Both states hold their primaries on February 5th.

Georgia:

Huckabee 34%
McCain 19%
Romney 16%
Paul 12%
Giuliani 11%

Alabama:

Huckabee 27%
McCain 27%
Mitt Romney 15%
Giuliani 8%
Paul 3%

McCain's strength in Alabama is surprising. It is more than likely a bump from his South Carolina win; but it could be a sign that the Republican faithful are beginning to come around. 

If McCain loses Florida, however; all bets are off.
