A new Suffolk University poll has John McCain leading in New Hampshire and makes it now clear why Mitt Romney decided to go negative on him last week. Per First Read:

McCain 31%
Romney 25%
Giuliani 14%
Huckabee 9%

And the much anticipated Des Moines Register poll:

Huckabee 32%
Romney 26%
McCain 13%
Paul 9%
Thompson 9%
Giuliani 5% 

The Iowa poll, which is on the front page of the Des Moines Register this morning, is great news for Mike Huckabee. It contributes to his perception/image as the winner and should help among still undecided voters. The only downside is that Huckabee's earned media stunt from yesterday was bumped off the front page.
