Ron Paul's camp has released its 4th quarter fundraising numbers, and they are, to say the least, impressive.
He had 130,000 donors who gave an average of $90 for a total of $19.5 million. They, however, did not include how much cash on hand they have. The majority of the money came from two money bombs organized by his supporters.
The Paul camp points out that the only other campaign to release its numbers thus far is the Huckabee camp who raised a paltry $5.04 million in comparison. Huckabee has roughly $2 million on hand. Paul camp did not release how much money it has on hand, though we are sure he has more than any of the other Republican candidates.
The implication of Paul's money is that he will be in the race on February 5th. His campaign seems to be following a strategy similar to Rudy Giuliani who, too, has been hoarding money. The only difference is that Giuliaini's hoarding is strategic and his campaign knows what its doing; does Ron Paul's?
Giuliani has already started advertising in Florida. He also enjoys high name recognition and favorable ratings among Republicans; something that Paul does not. If Paul is serious about carrying some Tsunami Tuesday states he has to start advertising now.
