Ron Paul is up with a new ad in New Hampshire set to run through the primary that highlights his military experience and support from the military:
The production of these ads is markedly better than his first few, and the message is tailored to a broader audience. Similarly, the scripts, image, and message are making him sound and look more and more like a legitimate Republican candidate.
This indicates a signficant shift in the strategy of the Paul campaign. No longer is he touting his anti-establishment and anti-war stances that endeared him to many, but he is instead touting his conservative and libertarian credentials that make him a Republican. And it just may work.
Although he polls very low in national polls, that is more reflective of low name recognition than it is of low support. However, what name recognition he does have is tainted as his unfavorables are over 40%. But that does not mean all is lost; a heavy blitz of advertising can turn opinions around in a hurry.
On a related note, the snub by FOX for the presidential debates this weekend has made me lose A LOT of respect for the network.

This is the first move that Fox has done in this election that has GOTTEN my respect. Paul is an outlier. He has little to do with the Republican party--he is a libertarian. His support is vocal, but not large. The debates have had far too many participants, so limiting it to the 5 VIABLE candidates is the most reasonable thing that they could possibly do.
