South Carolina Poll: McCain vs. Huckabee

The latest MSNBC poll of South Carolina shows a dogfight for the top spot between John McCain and Mike Huckabee:

(Jan. 14-16)
n=400 MoE:5%

McCain 27%
Huckabee 25%
Romney 15%
Thompson 13%
Paul 6%
Giuliani 5%

Some other interesting points parsed from the poll were that 62% identified themselves as Evangelical and that 67% had their minds made up. It appears that Huckabee's play to Christian conservatives is working.

The poll does not reflect Romney's Michigan victory; but it is not likely to have much impact on the race in South Carolina.
