
As the dust from the Tsunami begins to settle, one of the things that struck me is the 'Favorite Son' aspect that has emerged in both parties' primaries during the campaign season.
Mike Huckabee was the first one to declare victory tonight. In his hometown of Little Rock, he delivered a message of hope, and gave reason to his supporters all over the country to celebrate. He stressed that his campaign will be moving on.
And then Mitt Romney did the same thing, and his supporters celebrated. And then John McCain, and Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. Everyone, everywhere had reason to celebrate.
Their candidate, whoever it may be, will be moving on. And everyone still has a concievable path to victory as we enter uncharted territory.
