
A few good points made in this segment:
1. Geraldine Ferraro is not a racist.
2. Barack Obama is a good candidate.
3. The country is caught up in the 'concept' of Obama's candidacy.
The last point is the source of frustration for the Clinton camp. Despite their brilliant message strategy, they have been unable to shift the debate to policy, issues, and their respective records because the media and primary voters are unable to look past the symbolism of Obama's candidacy.
Now while this may be true of Democrats, general election voters tend to be more informed and it is unlikely that this same 'concept' will be as effective.
